Edited by Leonardo da Silva Guimarães Martins da Costa and Mariana Thieriot Loisel

ISBN: I978-0-9998733-8-0
doi:10.22545/2024b

This book, available free of charge at https://doi.org/10.22545/2024b/B2, is a result of the CIRET International Symposium Artificial Intelligence and Human Mediation of November 21-22, 2023 (see the complete symposium videos of November 21: https://vimeo.com/887211540 and November 22: https://vimeo.com/888289641). The book emerges as a possible forum for the discussion of human mediation in connection with Artificial Intelligence (AI), envisaging concrete troubleshooting in organizations and civil society, which demands time, collective thinking, and emotional welcoming. As a suggestion, future synergies like this book, between the French CIRET and the American ATLAS as transdisciplinary international organizations, can be considered as a way to promote a Western cultural transformation: From a dominant mechanistic, scientistic, and dogmatic view of reality to a transdisciplinary one, which may lead to a more effective problem solving in organizations and civil society, including universities’ transdisciplinary courses envisaging a paradigm shift of the nowadays mere disciplinary approach, to a dialogue between disciplinarity and transdisciplinarity.
